Friends of the Asian American Advisory Board--FAAAB is a non-profit organization. It is created to support and supplement the Mission of the Miami Dade County Asian American Advisory Board. The Board, itself is a Miami Dade County agency, which was created by the Board of County Commissioners on July 22, 1997 with a Mission to serve the Asian community. However, it being a County agency has to function within certain constraints and guidelines required by the County.

Friends of AAAB is to serve as a fiscal partner and supporter of the Asian American Advisory Board in order to further its Mission, goals and objectives.
